The School started in 1972 under Watuha Primary School management and closed in 1985 due to lack of support by the stakeholders.
It was revived in 1996 when a class of 48 students enrolled and did thier KCSE in 1999. The School has from then expanded to the current status of double streams with 350 students, 16 teachers and 11 supporting staffs.
The School serves the following primary schools: Watuha, Mukarara, Kiangunyi, Kangema, Muguru, Karuri and Ihiga.
Boarding section for girls only allow students outside the school catchment areas to get a chance to enroll in Watuha.
AVAILABLE PHYSICAL FACILITIES.
- 8 Classrooms, - 1 Laboratory, - 1 Dinning Hall, - 1 Staffroom, - 1 Girls Dormitory (with capacity of 100 beds).
Lack of essential teaching facilities and resources such as:
-The current Lab is not fully equiped.
-The school requires a library to encourage wide reading.
-Textbooks are not enough.
-Large fees balances thus the school strain to pay the BOG staffs.
